Where most businesses are with AI.
Most owners we talk to are in the same spot. Somebody in the office uses ChatGPT every day. Somebody else tried Copilot and gave up. Nobody set any rules, and the owner isn’t sure what’s being pasted where.
Surveys say the same thing: most small businesses now use AI in some form, but only a small share have it built into how the work actually gets done. Data privacy is now one of the top reasons owners hold back. Both problems have the same fix: decide how AI gets used in your business, then set it up on purpose.
What we do.
We work in stages, and you can stop at any of them.
Start safe. A one- or two-page AI use policy your team will actually read. An approved tools list. A check of your Microsoft 365 permissions before Copilot goes anywhere near them, because Copilot can surface any file a user already has access to, including the ones they were never supposed to see.
Set it up for your work. Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot configured for your team, with reusable instructions and templates for the work you repeat: quotes, proposals, job reports, customer emails, spreadsheet cleanup, meeting notes. Your people open the tool and get a first draft in your format, close enough that they only have to edit.
Train the people using it. Short, hands-on sessions built around your own documents. What AI is good at, where it gets things wrong, and how to check its work before it goes out the door.
Build small wins. Once the basics are in place, we look for the repetitive jobs worth automating. Some are a better prompt. Some are a custom tool or integration.
Bigger projects. If you need something beyond what makes sense for a small business, we can help you find the right partner.
Bring the job that takes too long. We'll show you what AI can do with it.
How it works.
We start with a working session. You bring the jobs that take too long. We sit down with your team, try AI against your real work, and show you what helps and what doesn’t.
From there you get a short written plan: the tools we’d recommend, the policy you need, and the two or three jobs worth tackling first. You can run with it yourself or have us help. Consulting is billed by the session, and there’s no managed IT agreement required.
We’re a small business too, and we use these tools in our own work every day. When we recommend something, it’s because we’ve used it on real work, with real deadlines, and seen where it breaks.
